Prudence Henschke - Certified Divorce Coach

If you have separated

and are feeling confused or overwhelmed about what to do next

- you are in the right place.

I’ve worked with people going through divorce for the past 15 years, as a family lawyer. I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly.

While no-one sets out wanting a nasty divorce, they are sadly common, and the impact on the lives of everyone involved, most particularly the children, can be felt for years after the legal papers are signed. I truly believe that the difference between a good and bad divorce is having the right help. I feel it is entirely possible to have a divorce, with less conflict and less stress, with the right information, tools and support.

And, here’s where I come in.

As a Certified Divorce Coach (and with my legal background) I have the experience, knowledge and skills for you to draw on, to realise a better outcome, for you and your family.

As a divorce coach, some of the things I can help you with are:

  • knowing where to start

  • understanding the process

  • finding the best professionals (eg. lawyer, counsellor, financial advisor) to support you

  • learning how to work most effectively with your lawyer (and minimise the legal costs)

  • learning skills to communicate effectively with your ex and minimise conflict

  • managing your emotions through the process

  • making well balanced and considered decisions

  • prioritizing self-care (I’m so passionate about that topic I have a whole blog ( devoted to it.

  • coping with the stress and overwhelm of responsibilities, expectations and the never ending to-do list

  • building your resilience and self-esteem

My role as a divorce coach is to support you through the process. To act as part of a team to help you through a challenging period and emerge stronger and happier.
